There is more to life than the situation you are in

Oftentimes, we doubt if we will ever get out of the mess that we are currently in. Life seems so overwhelming at times that we almost surrender with our arms up high to the thought that we will never get through it all.
You may be going through a breakup, certain adjustments, or facing a ton of struggles in life, but let me tell you this: there is certainly more to life than the situation you are currently in.

We find our present situation devastating because of the hardships it causes us. Sending us fainting emotions that definitely bring us to our knees. We doubt if we will ever overcome these struggles for the end always seems so far.

At first, it is almost easy to say that there is still hope behind every smile that we show to the world everyday as we try to conceal every emotion that slowly tears us apart inside. But as time goes by, the situation worsens and the tiniest hope that we hold on to for a certain period of time seems to drift farther and father each day.

The probability of overcoming such distress seems to fade little by little.

But God is telling you today to hold on.

Hold on to His promise that He will help you get through all these things that stress you.

Hold on to His righteous hand that is caring enough to guide your steps everyday as you continue your walk with Him.

Hold on to the assurance of tomorrow that He is about to bless you with.

Do not focus on the distress of today. It is even more exciting to look forward to the success of tomorrow rather than worrying about the uncertainties that your present issue is giving you.

Worrying won’t give you any benefit, anyway.

“If you have time to worry, then you have a time to pray”.

Never give the enemy the satisfaction of watching you suffer. Make it see that you are confident and secure that you have a great God who walks with you along every circumstance.

God desires you to put your complete trust in Him.

You life doesn’t end here. There are still a lot of great things in store for you in the future.

There are a lot of people out there waiting for you to come into their lives and make it even better.

You are the answer to other people’s prayers. And how will you be able to make that possible if you will wear your self out with your current situation?

Always try to be the best of your self. And most of all, for your future self.

What you are stressing your self with today will give a huge impact to who you will be tomorrow. With what are you molding your future self today?

Why does God let you experience battles?

Having fears, getting through breakups, suffering from emotional stress, and failing would be some of the hardest things to deal with. But they are inevitable. They come unexpectedly. At times, they will lead you to your knees asking, “Will I ever get through all these?”, “When will they be gone?”, “Can I give up now?”.

All the things that cause you to be depressed are usually the very reasons for you to doubt God. There are times when you ask Him why He allows these things to happen. You doubt His love and His plans. When Jeremiah 29:11 says, “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord. Plans to prosper you and not to harm you. Plans to give you hope and a future”.

God may be silent during the battles that you face. There may be times when you thought He has already abandoned you in the midst of the trial.

But keep in mind that He allows these things to happen because:

“Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in Me”. ~ John 14:1

One of the reasons why God lets you dwell with uneasy things is because He wants you to put your complete trust in Him.

This is not just about the trust, this is also an issue of your faith. Trusting Him completely means believing that He is in control of everything, even of the unseen.

The fact that you still set your alarm before you sleep without the certainty of tomorrow is one of the best demonstrations of one’s faith. We will not always know what the outcome of our battles will be, but God does. God allows you to fight these battles because He wants you to have faith that He will help you surpass them.

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in anything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be known to God”. ~ Philippians 4:6

He wants you to find real peace in Him. In the midst of emotional chaos and distress, God is offering you a safe haven in the warmth of His embrace. When all is well, you won’t bother looking for a break because the joy of having no insecurities covers your need of God’s peace. God wants you to seek Him and the peace that can be found in His presence.

There are times when you will become weary, tired, anxious, and stressed. That is the best moment to seek God and ask Him of rest that your mind, heart and body yearn to have.

“I can do all things through Him who strengthens me”. ~ Philippians 4:13

Life will never be easy. If you want to be the strong person that God wants you to be, you will have to go through a lot.

An athlete will never achieve any label if he has never gone through any training that molded him to be the great athlete that he is.

The process of strengthening will never be easy. Even a beautiful piece of gold needed to go through a lot of heating and fining before it becomes a beautiful piece that it is.

That is exactly what God plans for you to become: a great and strong person. Behind your strength will be the hardest trainings of faith and trust in God. When you overcome the battles and challenges, they will mold you to become one of the best warriors God has designed.

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go”. ~ Joshua 1:9

“Oh gives thanks to the Lord, for He is good; for His steadfast love endures forever!” ~ Psalm 118:1

For me, one of the best reasons why God allows us to experience battles is beacuse He wants us to feel His steadfast love! We may feel alone and abandones at times, but God is telling you to depend on Him and He will give you His favor to triumph over all these battles.

His gift of undeserved grace gives us the victory over every battle even when we are weak. That is because He is our strength (Philippians 4:13).

God knows we can appreciate His love more when it is the only thing that we can see to give us hope.

No one desires to experience battles. No ones desires to face problems, uncertainties, and challenges. But God allows them because it is part of His plan for you. He wants you to become the strongest person that you can ever be. He wants you to seek Him even more and realize that only Him can satisfy your needs of peace, love, grace, and favor.

God loves you so much that He will always be with you no matter how hard your situation will become. Just put your faith and complete trust in Him that He will hold your hand as you allow Him to fight with you.

“The pain that you’ve been feeling can’t compare to the joy that is coming”. ~ Romans 8:18
